Best game setups for iRacing

Have you tweaked the settings in your D-BOX rig and in your iRacing game to perfection? Share pictures if your favourite way to play the game and let us know what these settings bring to your gaming experience!

I’d say D-BOX motion code settings for iRacing is kind of broken – the Gear Shift slider has no effect. Whenever you increase Front-Rear Acceleration gear shifting nearly shakes my brains out and you cannot make it less intense. If decrease the reactivity to compensate for gear shifting the front-rear acceleration also decreases.

Has anyone solved this?

Hey Nick!

I have had a word with our haptic engineers regarding this, since this is the first time they have heard of this issue, they will be doing an investigation into the matter. Our motion code for iRacing is one of our most popular and we want to make sure it is 100% perfect. I will get back to you as soon as I have more information. If on your end you have anything else you can tell me that might help us look into the problem, that would also be great!

Thanks!

Hi Marc, I have the same issue. Shifting at low speeds is very unrealistic. For example coming out of the pits the upshifts are unrealistically intense. How can this be changed in settings?

Thx,
Henry

Hi Henry! You could adjust “Acceleration Front-Rear Reactivity” and “Gear Shift” intensity. If reactivity is too intense, this could get the movements to be softer, but you’ll loose more drastic effects like gear shift.

Hi , i’am new to the dbox community. I would like to know some motion core setup for iracing. i drive a formula 3 almost all the time. If any1 have a forum somewhere where i can see some motion core setup let me know

I am of the same opinion, the gear change shakes my head and it is very unpleasant.

If we reduce the Front-Rear Reactivity acceleration, then we no longer have any feeling when braking.
Isn’t it better to separate shifting from acceleration Front-Rear?

This problem is very marked with the Porsche 911 GT3 R !

sorry for my english, i speak french

Hey Chris! No worries, we are French speakers too  - We are from Quebec!
It’s funny you mention this subject since there’s been a discussion around this at SimRacing Expo last weekend. For now, we don’t have the perfect set up for you, but we’re looking at a solution.

I hope you will find a solution that works and quickly because currently I am in my “Acceleration Front-Rear” setting at the minimum and I do not feel the braking at all. What I dislike because it is the basis of a simulation the feeling of braking.
